Roma want’s 40 million for Mohamed Salah

The offer is just the beginning of the transfer saga as Roma are open to doing business and have told Liverpool they want 40 million for the attacker.

Salah has been a revelation in Italy since leaving Chelsea and scored 19 goals and provided 15 assists from the right wing this season.

It is a remarkable return for a player that effectively flopped at Stamford Bridge and Jurgen Klopp has identified Salah as the perfect addition to his squad.

The Daily Mail claim Roma have rejected the Reds 28 million offer, but discussions are expected to continue.

Liverpool must raise their offer considerably if they want to snare Salah as Roma believe their star is worth upwards of 40 million.

Salah is an Egypt international and joined Roma permanently from Chelsea last summer after an initial loan spell.

Chelsea beat the likes of Liverpool to Salah in 2014, but the 24-year-old never managed to stake any kind of claim at the club, struggling for game time.

Klopp is planning several world-class additions to his side this summer as Liverpool prepare for a return to Champions League football.

The Reds finished fourth in the Premier League and have to come through a play-off in August before their place in the Champions League group stage is secure.

Salah missed just six Serie A games in the 2016/17 season and four of those games were due to his involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations.
