Mohamed Salah scores on his Premier League debut
Egypt’s Mohamed Salah on his Premier League debut with Liverpool but the team conceded a stoppage-time equaliser to draw 3-3 with Watford in a thrilling clash on Saturday.
The in-form winger won a penalty which Roberto Firmino converted in the 55th minute before scoring himself two minutes later following an assist from the Brazilian to make it 3-2.
After a fast breakaway, Firmino lifted the ball over the advancing keeper, with Salah outpacing his marker to volley home into an empty net.
Salah was also unlucky not to complete at least a personal double, having wasted some goal-scoring chances after causing Watford’s defence all sorts of problems with his pace down the flank.
However, Miguel Britos scored for Watford at the death to prevent Liverpool from claiming an opening win.
Salah was substituted with four minutes remaining, making way for James Milner.
