Mortada Mansour Zamalek president until 2021 | CLUB Elections
Mortada Mansour was officially re-elected as Zamalek football club president after a two-day rounds of elections that ended Friday.
The committee that supervised the elections announced Saturday morning that 43,550 of Zamalek’s general assembly members voted in the elections; a record number in Egyptian football club elections history.
The 65-year-old Mortada took 26,544 votes to keep his position after beating archrival and former board member Ahmed Soliman who got 16,094 votes.
Ahmed Galal Ibrahim and Hani El-Ataal were elected as club vice presidents, beating Mansour’s son Ahmed Mortada.

Outspoken lawyer Mansour, a highly controversial figure who is known for his fiery remarks and constant squabbles with opponents, was elected chairman of Zamalek for the third time on March 2014.
During Mansour’s last term, Zamalek witnessed several achievements at both the sports and structural levels.
