The Pharaohs Still Winless without Salah | Belgium 3-0 Egypt | VIDEO

Egypt, missing the spark of Mohamed Salah, were outplayed by a vibrant Belgium side to suffer a 3-0 loss in Brussels in their last friendly before heading to Russia to make their first World Cup appearance since 1990.

Romelu Lukaku fired a star-studded Belgium side into a deserved 27th-minute lead and Chelsea forward Eden Hazard doubled their advantage 11 minutes later following a defensive mistake from Egypt’s right-back Ahmed Fathi.

Egypt notably improved in the second half, making some swift moves in the final third, but their finishing touches hampered them, with the absence of injured winger Salah leaving their attack toothless.

The Liverpool man is facing a race against time to recover from a shoulder injury before Egypt open their World Cup campaign against Uruguay on 15 June.

Marouane Fellaini put the icing on the cake with a stoppage-time goal as Belgium, who lost 4-0 to Egypt in their last meeting in 2005, secured a convincing win.

Egypt have now failed to win any of their three pre-World Cup friendlies, drawing with Kuwait and Colombia and losing to Belgium.
