Zamalek look well-equipped to win their first Egyptian Premier League title in four years as they look to extend their winning run at the expense of 12th-placed Gouna on Monday.
The Cairo giants are eyeing a sixth consecutive victory and they are in buoyant mood following another late comeback win in their previous game against Dakhleya.
Zamalek will be boosted against Gouna by the return of influential Tunisian right-back Hamdi Nagguez and compatriot Ferjani Sassi, who pulls the strings in midfield. Both missed the win over Dakhleya due to their exertions with Tunisia in a midweek friendly against Morocco.
The White Knights lead the table with 29 points, three ahead of second-placed Maqassa who played three matches more.
However, with Zamalek’s perennial rivals and title holders Ahly still having six matches to play, there might still be tough competition for the title.
