Al Ahly has defeated Arab Contractors 1-0 in the Egyptian Premier League on Sunday in Pitso Mosimane’s debut match.
The Red Devils started the game with a vicious attacking display and nearly scored in the 13th minute through veteran Ahmed Fathi but his shot hit the side net.
Al Ahly suffered a huge blow in the 27th minute when Mohamed El-Shennawy was forced off the pitch due to an injury. Aly Lotfi came on to replace the 31-year-old.

Amr Al Solya stepped up to take the penalty and successfully scored it from the spot to mark the first goal in Mosimane’s tenure.
