LIVE: Al Ahly v Petrojet | Egyptian League | March 4th 2019
Match K.O. at 19:00 Cairo local time | 12:00 ET
Venue: Petrosport stadium
Referee: Amin Omar
Ahly will be seeking to maintain their impressive run of results in the Egyptian Premier League when they meet Petrojet on Sunday as they seek to keep up the pressure on leaders and nemesis Zamalek.
With Zamalek not playing until 13 March, Ahly will have the chance to close to within one point of their perennial rivals if they overcome Petrojet, who are struggling in the 12th place, only two points clear of the relegation zone.
Ahly are on a run of eight successive wins, with their January signings proving instrumental in turning around their fortunes after a patchy form in the first half of the season.
Ahly welcome back Moroccan striker Walid Azaro and veteran right-back Ahmed Fathi from injury. Azaro has been out of action since 4 January while Fathi has been sidelined since December when he aggravated an injury.
Long-term absentees Walid Soliman and Hossam Ashour are still out. In-form central midfielder Amr El-Sulaya will also not be available after picking up a groin injury.
Ahly beat Petrojet 1-0 in the corresponding league fixture in December, thanks to an early goal from playmaker Ahmed El-Sheikh.
