Following on from another entertaining series of midweek fixtures in Europe, it’s time to get back down to business for the final set of Premier League fixtures prior to the latest international break. There are a lot of different possibilities from the 10 matches we’re going to see this weekend, with one of the most intriguing showdowns being set to take place on Merseyside. Liverpool will be hosting Leicester City, in a battle between two of the most in-form teams in the top flight this season.
Liverpool
Balancing four competitions is going to be difficult for Liverpool this season, but it certainly isn’t going to be impossible. It goes without saying that they’ve already proven themselves worthy in European competition after winning the Champions League a few months ago, but the real focus for Jurgen Klopp’s men is going to be winning the Premier League for the first time. After the start they’ve made, there’s a lot of confidence around Anfield – and it’s not exactly difficult to see why, but as the weeks and months go on, the pressure will continue to grow.
Virgil van Dijk will be hoping to lead the line and return to top form after another questionable defensive performance from the Reds against Salzburg.
Leicester
When Brendan Rodgers first joined Leicester City there were some questions raised as to whether or not he was the right man to lead the Foxes forward. After just a few short months in charge, though, it has become evidently clear that he has the potential to guide the club towards some great things. They’ve been able to get off to a lightning-quick start in the Premier League, and without the distraction of European competition, they could make a serious push for the top four. Either way, Leicester fans will be happy to know that they’re in good hands – and that their ambitions are high once again.

Jamie Vardy will be at the forefront of the Leicester attack once again, with the hope being that Maddison will be available following his recent injury struggles.
