Zamalek 3-0 Aswan | Egyptian League | Highlights

Ahmed ‘Zizo’ Sayed celebrated his century game with Zamalek in style as the lively winger scored twice in his side’s 3-0 win over Aswan in a league game at Cairo Stadium on Thursday.

The 25-year-old, who joined Zamalek in January 2019 from Portuguese side Moreirense, celebrated his 100th game with the White Knights on all fronts on Thursday.

He converted a penalty in the 33rd minute before adding the second goal 15 minutes after the hour-mark, taking his goal tally with Zamalek to five goals this season and 15 since joining the club.

Tunisian striker Seif Jaziri added the third with two minutes remaining to complete the rout.

Zamalek are leading the league table with 58 points, 15 points ahead of second-placed Masry and 17 clear of defending champions Ahly, who have seven matches in hand.

The first half was a boring affair, with Zamalek failing to create any goal-scoring chances during the first 30 minutes, while Aswan were content with their successful compact defence.

A defensive lapse allowed Zamalek winger Zizo to go clear and he gained a penalty following a tackle from Aswan’s keeper inside the area in the 32nd minute.

He converted the penalty one minute later to open the scoring for his side.

Substitute striker Hamza Magdi had the chance to level the score one minute before the break, but his close-range effort was denied by Zamalek keeper Mahmoud Abdel-Rehim, giving his side the chance to head to the locker room with a 1-0 lead.

Zamalek tried to slow their rhythm in the second half to keep their lead against their opponent, who seemed incapable of posing a real threat.

Zizo followed a rebounded ball from Aswan’s defence to add the second with a nice shot from inside the area.

Tunisian international striker scored the third goal with two minutes remaining after receiving a nice pass from Achraf Bencharki to score easily in an empty net.
