Chelsea take a big step in securing Philippe Coutinho transfer

Chelsea are closing in on a move for Philippe Coutinho after reportedly entering ‘very advanced’ talks with the player over a transfer.

According to a recent report from Spain, Chelsea have already held talks with Philippe Coutinho over a potential summer transfer.

The Barcelona player hasn’t enjoyed all too much success at the Nou Camp, and the same can be said for his tenure at Bayern Munich. A return to the Premier League has always seemed like a bit of inevitability, but with Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United all being interested in the Brazilian, nobody could be too sure which way he was going to go.

Bayern or Barca could always have a change of heart, but right now, the Blues are in the driving seat. They’ve already spoken with the man himself over the possibility of getting a deal over the finish line, but of course, the growing uncertainty surrounding the world of football right now means we probably won’t see a resolution to this issue any time soon.
