Egyptian legendary football player Hossam Hassan Full interview
Egyptian legendary football player and manager Hossam Hassan spoke on Tuesday about his coaching ambitions in the future.
In his interview with ON Time Sports TV channel, Hassan talked about the possibility of coaching his boyhood club Al Ahly.
“I wish to coach Al Ahly one day; however, I won’t pursue any way to do so. Some people say that I contact people in order to increase my chances in coaching the team, but that’s not true and I won’t do so,” Hassan said.
Moreover, Smouha’s former manager [Hassan] questioned the criteria in which the managers of Al Ahly and the Egyptian national team are chosen.
“I managed to achieve great results in difficult times while managing Al Masry, Jordan, Zamalek, and other clubs who don’t have the same resources as Al Ahly and Zamalek. Does that qualify me or not,” Hassan asked.
The 53-year-old manager concluded his talk about that matter by questioning whether or not he is on the same level of the candidates who are presented to coach Al Ahly.
Throughout his managerial career with Al Masry, Zamalek, Jordan and the rest of the teams he coached, Hassan achieved 142 victories in the 325 matches he managed. While having lost 75 games with the draw taking place on 108 occasions.
Hassan is also considered to be one of the talented forwards that Egypt witnessed throughout the nation’s footballing history having won three African Cup of Nations with the national team.
Lastly, Egyptian former goalscorer [Hassan] had a club career that was full of success having won 13 league titles, 5 Egyptian cups, 2 CAF Champions League trophies, as well as other trophies while playing in both Egyptian giants [Al Ahly] and [Zamalek].
