HOW WILL FC BARCELONA MISS LUIS SUAREZ?

FC Barcelona’s success in recent years whether it comes to the 2014-15 UEFA Champions League title or the several domestic La Liga and Spanish Cup titles they have won in recent years have been down to the important contributions from their famous front three also known as the MSN trio or the Messi-Neymar-Suarez trio.

The attacking trio produced wonderful attacking displays on a consistent basis which was not only good to watch for the fans but was also a menace for the opposition teams. Since the start of the 2014/15 season when Luis Suarez joined Messi and Neymar at Barcelona, the trio has scored a staggering 270 goals between them. However, the MSN trio ceased to exist after the departure of Neymar to Paris Saint Germain in 2017, check out kingscodes for up to 1000$ of Bouns & offers.

After Neymar’s departure, there were plenty of players who were bought in to fill up the void left by the departure of the Brazilain players like Ousmane Dembele, Phillippe Coutinho, and Antoine Griezmann were all bought into the side but all of the signings performed underwhelmingly.

The duo of Messi and Suarez were still contributing on a regular basis for FC Barcelona scoring goals on a regular basis. The duo had a great understanding between each other and helped Barcelona win a few more titles. However, after a dismal 2019-20 season where Barcelona failed to win any trophies, Lionel Messi was seriously considering a move away from Nou Camp but in the end, it was his fellow attacking duo Luis Suarez who ended up leaving the club in favor of rival La Liga challengers Atlético Madrid.

Luis Suarez left Barcelona as a club legend scoring198 goals in just 293 appearances for the club finishing as the third-highest goal scorer in the history of the club. In Luis Suarez, Barcelona lost a lethal goal scorer and a game-changer who had the ability to turn the game to its head with personal brilliance. The linkup play between Messi and Suarez both on and off the field was simply incomparable; they had a great understanding and complemented each other’s play brilliantly.

Luis Suarez left the club aged 33 years but having Luis Suarez in the side guarantees goals his finishing makes him one of the best strikers in the world even at his age. Luis Suarez was not only a goal-scoring striker at Barcelona, but he was also a leader and a mentor for the young players in the side acting as a role model and leader to them. He was often given the captain’s armband to lead the side.

He led mostly by example scoring goals and providing assists for his teammate. Suarez was also a team player who wanted nothing but the success of Barcelona. Luis Suarez like a former player and legend David Villa followed his footsteps switching from Barcelona to Atletico Madrid where he has already been an instant success at the club scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist within the first 20 minutes he played for the club.

Suarez always has the ability to provide an instant impact to the game whenever he comes on whether it is as a starter or when comes on as a substitute in the 87th minute of the match, FC Barcelona has surely lost a lot experience upfront and it’s up to their big-money signings in the form of Griezmann and Coutinho to step up this season and find their form.

Replacing a player of Luis Suarez’s caliber is going to be a huge task but Barcelona has the players that have a similar talent and goal-scoring pedigree like Suarez. Antoine Greizmann will have to take responsibilities in his shoulders and try and replicate what the Uruguayan striker did during his time at the club. Spanish up and coming prodigy Ansu Fati has shown great signs of talent in the first two games of the season but the ask of filling Suarez’s void might be a bit out of reach for the youngster who is just 17 years old.

What happens at FC Barcelona remains to be seen as replacing Suarez is going to be really hard but with the abundance of talent they have in the squad, it will not be impossible.
