El Hodoud’s keeper El-Saadni brought into action as his save prevented the White Knights from netting the equalizer in the 22nd minute.

Zamalek’s forward Mostafa Mohamed hit the equalizer in the 67th minute when Ahmed Eid swung up an excellent cross into the penalty area, where Mohamed hit a powerful header into the right bottom corner.

Ibrahima Koné came close to doubling the scoring in the 42nd minute after unleashing a left-foot shot past Abu-Gabl.

Seven minutes later, El-Winsh added the second for the White Knights after a great cross, made by Islam Gaber, into the penalty area, where Zamalek’s defender headed it into the left bottom corner to make it 2-1.

The Whites are now in the second spot with 65 points, a five-point difference ahead of Pyramids, that are in the third spot with 60 points.

On the other hand, El-Hodoud has officially relegated to the second division with 30 points.

It is worth mentioning that Zamalek will be deducted three points at the end of the League, after withdrawing from Al Ahly match in the first leg.
