DONE DEAL: Gastón Sirino agrees to 3-year deal with Al Ahly

The 29-year-old has agreed to join the Cairo giants on a 3-years deal worth USD 3.4M.

With Mosimane’s move to Ahly in September also thrusting the Brazilians into the spotlight again.

Al Ahly have been admirers of Sirino for a while now. The presence of coach Pitso Mosimane, who mentored Sirino at the Brazilians, may have just enhanced the Red Devils’ chances to lure the 29-year-old Uruguayan.

“Sirino has agreed to join Al Ahly he’s so keen to work with coach Pitso again.’’ said a source from Al Ahly SC.

Sirino arrived at Downs in January 2018 from Bolivian side Bolivar and he has already completed two full seasons at Chloorkop.

In June 2020, he extended his Sundowns contract by a further five years amid already reported interest from Al Ahly which is said to have now been heightened by Mosimane’s arrival in Cairo.

Al Ahly are ready to let Aliou Badji go on a loan to unload and make space for Sirino.
