Ittihad 4-2  Petrojet:

Amid Akory scored his maiden Ittihad goal in the sixth minute with a rocketing strike, as Mohamed Samir and Mohamed Hamdi added another two on 19 and 34 minutes respectively.

Ethiopian striker Akory, who joined Ittihad in the close of season, marked his debut with another headed goal, putting the Alexandrian side 4-0 up five minutes before the break.

It wasn’t until the 72nd minute that Petrojet managed to pull one back, with veteran full-back Osama Mohamed reducing the arrears from the spot.

Ten minutes later, Mohamed Ragab gave Petrojet a glimmer of hope with the visitors’ second goal of the evening, but a comeback never seemed likely and the match ended 4-2 in favour of Ittihad.

Ittihad secured their first win of the season following last week’s goalless draw with Gouna, while Petrojet has yet to claim their first three points after drawing 1-1 with Wadi Degla.

El Masry 3-1 El Asyoty

After coming back from two goals down to hold Ismaily to a 2-2 draw last week, Masry claimed their first victory with a 3-1 win over top-flight debutants Asyoty Sport.

Ghanaian defender Wilson Akakpo put Masry in front after 14 minutes before former Ahly striker Ahmed Raouf opened his Masry account with his side’s second on 30 minutes.

Eduard Tomas narrowed the gap for Asyoty seven minutes after the break before Raouf came to ensure victory just one minute from the hour mark.

The remaining match saw former Egypt Cup winners Haras El-Hodoud play out a 1-1 stalemate with newly-promoted Damanhour, with Ahmed Hassan Mekki getting his name on the score sheet for the military side.

Another massive victory saw last season’s league strugglers Dakhleya crush Nasr 4-0, with the visitors going into the dressing rooms at half-time with a two-goal lead, thanks to goals from Hossam Paolo and Ahmed Katawi.

Paolo then came to bag his personal brace of the day just 10 minutes into the second half before Dakhleya main striker Ahmed Temsah completed the rout 20 minutes left.
