Guinea-Bissau 0-1 Egypt | Salah Saves the day! VIDEO

Mo Salah scored the winner against Guinea-Bissau from a left-footed volley nine minutes past the hour mark as the Pharaohs bounced in the AFCON after losing 1-0 to Nigeria a few days ago.

“I am happy with the victory but I know that our performance has not been good today and in the past game; I hope we can improve,” Salah told beIN sport after the game.

“We are facing a lot of challenges and all the African teams have now become strong as they have a lot of players in Europe. We may be one of the least teams with players playing in Europe.”

Despite boasting the likes of Salah, Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny and Stuttgart’s Omar Marmoush, the record seven-time African champions are yet to live up to expectations at the Nations Cup.

Salah, who won the man of the match award, ended a seven-match goal drought with Egypt to grab his 44th international goal in 75 games.

“I don’t really focus on scoring; what’s important for me is to help the team win. I want to win a title with Egypt, which would be my greatest achievement,” he concluded.
