Al Ahly trahses close rivals ENPPI 5-1 on Friday.
An early opener by Ahmed Shokri was followed by two penalties from Walid Soliman and Mohamed Barakat.
ENPPI pulled one back through Ahmed Raouf but Al-Sayed Hamdi made sure Ahly remain in charge with a powerful header.
Two minutes from the end, man of the match Barakat showed he can still cut the mustard with a superb strike to put the icing on the cake.
Highflying leaders Ahli open a seven-point gap with ENPPI, who are now level on points with Smouha as both teams vie for the final last-four ticket.
