Egypt’s last hope for a place in the final 16 of the U-20 World Cup is to beat England in the final match of Group E on Saturday.
Egypt met England twice at the U-20 World Cup, with the Young Lions winning the first clash 4-2 in 1981 courtesy of a stunning comeback inspired by an ex-Manchester United man Neil Webb hat-trick. Egypt won the second game 1-0 in 2003 with a Emad Meteb goal.
If they failed to make it through the group stage, it will be the third time for Egypt to crash out of the first round in three appearances on European soil.
