Egypt and Hull City right winger Ahmed Elmohamady is confirmed to be out of the Pharaohs friendly against Uganda within preparations for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers after sustaining a minor knock to his kidney.
Under the helm of American coach Bob Bradley, Egypt technical staff decided to recall ENPPI player Ahmed Sobhi to replace injured Elmohamady for the Uganda friendly.
“Bradley decided to sideline Elmohamady after confirming he won’t be completely fit for the friendly,” Egypt assistant coach Zaki Abdel-Fatah told Al-Ahram Arabic news site on Sunday.
The 28-year-old, Elmohamdy sustained the kidney injury during Hull City’s 3-0 win over Spanish side Real Betis in a friendly on Saturday.
