Zamalek continues their domestic league drama on Monday against Ittihad El-Shorta in the 10th round of the Egyptian Premier League in Cairo.
Zamalek are fourth in the Egyptian Premier league table with 13 points, seven behind group leaders Petrojet are looking for a win in Monday’s clash to improve their position in the group.
“I demanded that the players win Monday’s game,” Zamalek’s coach Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido’ told the club’s official website.
“A win against Ittihad El-Shorta will be important for the team to improve our situation in the league table.
“We are also looking for a win to get a moral boost before our African clash.”
Zamalek will host Kabuscorp of Angola in Cairo on 1 March in the first leg of the Champions League round of 32.
