Ramadan Sobhi “All I can do is work hard, train hard and concentrate.”
Egyptian winger Ramadan Sobhi says he wants to play more for his Premier League club Stoke City, insisting that he will work hard to force his way into the team.
“I want to play but Mark Hughes makes the decisions. I did get some chances and I just tried to do my best. If the chance comes again, I will perform better and better,” Sobhi said in an interview with The Guardian on Saturday.
“Right now, I’m not playing, but I respect the manager’s point of view. All I can do is work hard, train hard and concentrate.”
The 20-year-old joined Stoke late last summer from Cairo giants Ahly.
Sobhi has scored just one goal with the Potters in 16 league appearances so far, but he managed to catch the eye with some fine displays, mostly off the bench.
“The praise I receive makes me want to give 200%, not 100%. I will never stop dreaming,” the Egyptian international added.
Sobhi was part of Egypt’s side that reached the Africa Cup of Nations final in February before losing 2-1 to Cameroon.
