Walid Azaro prefers Al Ahly over French Clubs

Morocco international striker Walid Azaro is keen on a move to CAF Champions League record holders Al Ahly, despite having received some offers from European clubs especially from France.

“Yes I have received offers from Europe and especially from France but I prefer the offer of Ahly that is more interesting,” Azaro was quoted as saying on Moroccan website Les Lions de l’Atlas.

“When I got the offer, I immediately informed the club’s directors of my will to join Ahly. I know that this big club will open the door for new horizons,” he added.

Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry has made Azaro his top priority this summer to replace departed Ivorian striker Souleymane Coulibaly.
