Al Ahly’s left back Ali Maaloul out for a Month!!!
Al-Ahly will miss their Tunisian left back, Ali Maaloul, the next month as the player suffered an injury during his national team’s friendly game against Costa Rica according to Tunisian magazine, El Sabah.
Maaloul participated with his national team at their two friendly games against Iran and Costa Rica at the FIFA International break.
Maaloul will return to Egypt on Saturday to seek second opinions on his injury.
Maaloul will miss Al-Ahly’s games at the Egyptian League but will be ready for the CAF Champions League group stage’s first game against Tunisia’s Espérance on May 4.
CAF Champions League draw put Al-Ahly in a group alongside Botswana’s Township Rollers, Uganda’s KCCA and Tunisia’s Espérance.
Maaloul, 28, is a key player in Tunisia’s squad. He established himself as their starting left back during their campaign to qualify for 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Tunisia plays in Group G at the World Cup alongside England, Belgium and Panama.
