Egypt will turn to probably the only man who can finish off their counter attacks – Mo Salah, of course – when they meet hosts Russia in a make-or-break World Cup clash in Saint Petersburg.
“The match is difficult. Of course all the World Cup confrontations are not at all easy,” El-Hadary told MBC Masr TV channel late on Monday.
“Our main target and ambition is to beat Russia as this will be our way to the round of 16,” explained former Ahly and Zamalek keeper Hadary.
“We can’t predict who will win as there are no certainties in football, but we will do our best to achieve our target.
“We all take our responsibility and work to please the fans,” concluded the veteran keeper.
Egypt will have a fully-fit squad to choose from against Russia after combative central midfielder Tarek Hamed shook off a back injury, which led to him being replaced early in the second half against Uruguay.
Russia will miss a key player though, with playmaker Alan Dzagoev ruled out of the game after sustaining an injury in the opening win over Saudi Arabia.
