Liverpool are tussling Manchester City for the Premier League title this season – which would be their first one ever.

They had been leading the holders by seven points at one stage but some patchy form has seen them relinquish top spot on goal difference.

But the Reds have a game in hand as they prepare to take on Manchester United this weekend.

Mohamed Salah was a sensation last season, winning the PFA Player of the Year award as he helped his side reach an unlikely Champions League final.

But this year he is desperate to land a trophy, despite admitting that this year has been much tougher.

He said: “Probably this season is more difficult than last season because everyone knows Mo Salah, and more than one player [are now trying to tackle me] when I have the ball.

“This season is much more difficult for me than last season, but I think there is a misunderstanding for the people because they always judge you in one way [goals scored].

“Honestly, I don’t care too much because at the end of the day I am trying to help the team win games.
