FT Cameroon 1-1 Ghana | U23 AFCON | Egypt 2019
A late goal from Mohammed Habib helped Ghana to a 1-1 draw with Cameroon in their opening game of the U23 African Cup of Nations in Cairo on Friday.
Franck Evina, 19, scored a beauty to give Cameroon the lead in the 59th minute, his curling free-kick nestling into the top corner of the net.
Chances were hard to come by for Ghana but they still managed to share honors when Habib struck home from close range three minutes from time after a deflected long ball found him.
Egypt top Group A with three points after beating Mali 1-0 earlier in the day. Cameroon and Ghana have one point apiece.
