Two horrendous goalkeeping errors are the talk of the town in Group C heading into the second round of games in the group. When England and Algeria take to the field in Cape Town, expect a lot of the focus to be on England’s Robert Green and his opposite number Fawzi Chaouchi as they hope to recover their reputations after the terrible mistakes that cost their respective teams so dearly in their first games at South Africa 2010.
England Coach Fabio Capello surprised many with this team selection against the United States. It was a risk to play Robert Green ahead of the far more experienced David James and the gamble cost the team a victory. The inclusion of the clearly unfit James Milner shocked many people too, especially when they learned Joe Cole was left waiting from the bench. For the game against Algeria, Capello will not be in the mood to gamble any longer.
