Al Ahly of Egypt qualified for the CAF Champions League (CL) finals for the first time since 2018, and 15th time overall after crushing Wydad of Morocco with 5-1 goals on aggregate.

The Red Devils’ forward Marwan Mohsen opened the scoring after only nine minutes, when El-Solia sent an excellent pass, putting Mohsen through a one-to-one situation with the Moroccan club’s goalkeeper as the Egyptian forward curled the ball from a close range.

Initially, the goal was canceled by the referee due to an offside on Mohsen, while he allowed the goal later on after consulting the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

The eight-time-African champions came close to doubling the scoring after Afsha unleashed a left-foot shot from the outside of the box, went above the bar.

Hussein El-Shahat double the scoring in the 26th, after he received a well-played pass from Aliou Diang, as he curled from a very close range to net one of the most beautiful goals ever in the tournament.

Yasser Ibrahim confirmed the Red Devils’ advantage in the 60th minute when powered home with great header after Hussein El-Shahat swung up an excellent cross into the penalty area, where Ibrahim met it with a powerful header to make it 3-0.

Zouhair El Moutaraji fired a right-foot shot from the outside of the box to the left-bottom corner, netting the first goal for the Moroccan club.

The Red Devils will face off either Zamalek or Raja in the final as the second leg between the White Knights and the Green Devils were delayed to 1st November.
