Pyramids FC in talks with Former Boca Juniors Manager Rodolfo Arruabarrena
Egyptian Premier League giants, Pyramids FC, have reportedly entered negotiations in order to sign former Boca Juniors Argentine manager Rodolfo Arruabarrena to take over as first-team manager.
Pyramids FC in pursuit of a manager following the CAF Confederation Cup final, where they lost to Moroccan side RS Berkane, the club announced the departure of Croatian manager Ante Cacic.
The big-spending Emirati-owned club had enjoyed a fairytale run to the final that included eight successive away victories, a 100 percent record on the road. However, they looked sluggish against Berkane, struggling for openings throughout.
Having also exited the Egypt Cup, Pyramids will finish the season empty-handed. Their only hope now lies in finishing second in the Egyptian Premier League to earn a spot at next season’s African Champions League.
Pyramids are already on the lookout for the replacement of Ante Cacic as announced by their footballing director, Hany Said.
