Omar Marmoush scored two goals against Borussia Dortmund | VIDEO

Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush scored two goals in his team’s 3-3 tie with Borussia Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund extended their undefeated streak in the season, though they faced a formidable challenge to secure a 3-3 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt in a thrilling Bundesliga encounter on Sunday.

Despite Omar Marmoush’s two goals and Fares Chaibi’s contribution, which appeared to secure a victory for Frankfurt amidst heavy rain at Deutsche Bank Park, Julian Brandt came to Dortmund’s rescue with a close-range goal in the 82nd minute, earning them a valuable point.

Frankfurt claimed the lead early on, capitalizing on a penalty awarded after a protracted VAR review due to the ball striking Marius Wolf’s hand during his clearance attempt.

Match Highlights:

Omar Marmoush confidently converted the penalty, sending goalkeeper Gregor Kobel in the opposite direction. Frankfurt then swiftly doubled their advantage on a counter-attack.

Their play initiated from their own box, with Kobel making two remarkable reflex saves before Marmoush was well-placed to tap in a close-range rebound.

Kobel had to be substituted due to an injury, and his replacement, Alexander Meyer, narrowly escaped conceding another penalty when he appeared to bring down Marmoush. However, Frankfurt’s plea for a spot-kick was ultimately denied after another extensive VAR review.

Dortmund narrowed the gap just before the halftime whistle as Niclas Fuellkrug set up Marcel Sabitzer, who unleashed a precise shot into the bottom corner for his debut goal with the club.

Youssoufa Moukoko, a halftime substitute at just 18 years of age, made an instant impact by equalizing nine minutes later. He deftly set himself up for a shot that left goalkeeper Kevin Trapp off-balance, leveling the score at 2-2.

However, Frankfurt once again seized the lead with a clinical attacking play that sliced through Dortmund’s defense. Fares Chaibi received the ball inside the box, fended off a challenge, and expertly slotted it past Meyer.
