Primary medical tests have showed that Egypt and Ahly striker Emad Meteb fractured more than two ribs and he could be a major doubt for the game against South African team Super Sport in the African champions League next March.
The Egyptian league holders Ahly were eager to boost their frontline after signing a three and half year contract with their former star Meteb, whose deal with Belgian giants Standard Liege collapsed in the summer.
Meteb resumed full training in December after spendingfive months on the sidelines due to a back injuryand began to cement hisplace in the team’sline-up by playing friendly games.
