Sudan have not won a Nations Cup match away from home since 1963 but they are going to have to score their first finals goal since 1976 if they are to have any chance.

The Sudanese have lost the previous four Nations Cup games they have contested, with the last coming in Sunday’s narrow 1-0 defeat against tournament favourites Ivory Coast.

Yet coach Mohamed Abdallah can take heart from the impressive way his charges played against the Elephants, even striking the underside of the crossbar in the first half.

“Our performance was good and we created so many chances, but we will try in the next match to minimise our errors and make sure that we score,” Mazda told BBC Sport.

Angola, meanwhile, will look to build on their opening day victory over Burkina Faso.

Coach Lito Vidigal will be buoyed by the availability of Rafael, with the 28-year-old itching to get into the action as soon as possible.

“I’m ready and when the trainer needs me, I definitely think I can help this team,” the former Germany youth international told BBC Sport.

Manucho is expected to continue to lead the line after his superb strike saw off the Burkinabe, while Mateus and goalkeeper Carlos are a booking away from suspension.
