Elmohamady shines in Europa League | VIDEO
Egypt winger Ahmed Elmohamady scored a goal and contributed to the other in Hull City’s first ever 2-1 home victory against Trencin on Thursday in the Europa League third round.
The Slovak visitors got an impressive start of the game as Tomas Malec stunned the home crowd with an early goal two minutes into the game.
Elmohamady restored parity when he rose above the defence to meet Robbie Brady’s cross with a powerful header in the 27th minute.
The Tigers kept on pressing until they finally grabbed what they needed to seal their qualification.
Elmohamady sent a deep cross that was put back into the danger area by Snodgrass to Sone Aluko who scored the winner from eight yards.
Making their debut in Europe, Hull City are now through to the second round with a 2-1 aggregate after their scoreless away draw last week.
