Egypt dropped 12 places in the FIFA Ranking!

Egypt fell twelve positions to 36 in the FIFA global football rankings for June, after placing 24th last month.

Egypt were also the worst movers in the table’s top 90 nations.

Under new coach Shawky Gharib, who was hired to replace sacked American manager Bob Bradley, Egypt are preparing for the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers that begin in July.

Egypt failed to make it to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, taking place in June, under the helm of former coach Bradley.

The Pharaohs rank third among African countries, after Algeria and Ivory Coast.

Egypt made it into the world top 10 after winning three successive African Cup of Nations trophies, in 2006, 2008 and 2010.
