Game K.O 11:00 ET Canada-USA | 18:00 Cairo LT
Zamalek SC gears up to face Esperance in the third round of CAF Champions League Group D games, they will be relying on their three recent signings to reverse their fortunes and secure a much-needed victory.
The Zamalek squad will receive a boost in tomorrow’s match against the Tunisian side in Rades as their winter transfer signees, including Moroccan midfielder Ahmed Belhadji, Nasser Mansi, and Mahmoud Shabana, will be available to play for the White Knights.
As an attacking midfielder, Belhadji, aged 25, has been a revelation for his former team Aswan and may prove to be crucial for Zamalek.
In the meantime, Shabana, aged 27, has returned to the White Knights after his loan to Semouha ended, and will provide a valuable defensive option for Zamalek. This is particularly important as they are currently missing the services of injured players Mahmoud Hamdy, Mostafa El-Zenary, and Ahmed Fatouh.
At 25 years old, Nasser Mansi, who recently joined from NBE club, is also a dependable choice as a striker for Zamalek.
This season, the White Knights have been facing difficulties both on and off the pitch, managing to secure only two victories in eleven games across all competitions since the beginning of 2023.
Zamalek’s journey in the group stage began with a 1-0 defeat against Algeria’s Belouizdad in their home match, followed by a draw against Al Merreikh of Sudan in an away game.
Meanwhile, the current in-form team, Esperance, enters the upcoming match with a perfect record of two wins in the group stage. They are determined to secure maximum points to further solidify their position at the top of the group.
