Zambia coach Herve Renard believes his team can reach at least the semi-finals of the African Nations Cup.
Chipolopolo open their tournament against Group A favourites Senegal in Bata, Equatorial Guinea, on Saturday.
But Renard led the team to the last eight in Angola two years ago and, having returned to the role following brief stints in charge of the Angolan national side and Algerian club USM Alger, is aiming to eclipse that achievement.
“I am the Zambian national coach, I know what I need to do and I am not feeling any pressure at all,” the Frenchman was quoted by www.mtnfootball.com as telling reporters.
“We want to play attacking football in Equatorial Guinea and that needs a lot of practice, but I am confident that this tournament will be better than the previous one.”
Zambia could hardly face a tougher start, though, as they come up against the team with perhaps the most potent attacking force in the competition.
