Inter Milan reaffirm interest in Mohamed Salah, Fiorentina Give Up!

Inter Milan director general Marco Fassone has expressed his hopes to put an end to the Mohamed Salah transfer saga “soon” while reaffirming his interest in securing the Chelsea winger.

Having excelled at Fiorentina during the second part of the last campaign while on loan from the Blues, the Viola exercised an option to extend the six-month loan deal to the 2015-16 campaign.

However, the 23-year-old Egyptian international has refused to return the Stadio Artemio Franchi – with his agent recently claiming the player wants to “play for a club with different moral and professional values”.

While the Viola are considering opening legal proceedings against the player, Inter Milan have since tried to take advantage of the situation to lure him to San Siro.

Fiorentina vice president Paolo Panerai recently responded to the Inter interest in the player by launching an attack on his rivals through his Twitter account – with the club later distanced themselves from his comments.

“If football clubs were to respect transparency rules, then Inter would already have been relegated. Whose money is it being used, is it starting from the Cayman Islands?” he said.

And while Salah’s agent recently revealed his client was ready to rejoin Chelsea for the preseason under Jose Mourinho, Fassone has now reaffirmed his interest in the player while hoping to solve the problems soon in order to get his services.

“We replied to Fiorentina, and we took a very strong position. I talked with the Fiorentina directors, explaining that we’re looking at him, but we haven’t done anything wrong. We hope things will be resolved as soon as possible,” Fassone said as quoted by La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

“We’re happy with the work done up until this point, but it’s only 9 July, so we still have another 50 days. It’s only a job half done. We want to finish it in the best way possible.”

Fiorentina Give Up On Mohamed Salah Pursuit

Mohamed-Salah-2015-04

After a bizzare month of chasing Chelsea FC’s Mohamed Salah, Fiorentina have reportedly given up their pursuit of the winger. Salah was on loan at the Serie A club last season and all signs, including supposedly the language of the loan deal, indicated that he would be heading back for the 2015-16 season. The only uncertainty was whether it would be as a loan deal or a permanent transfer
