LIBREVILLE, Gabon (AP)—Sandro scored off a cross by Bruno Cesar in the 11th minute and Hernanes got a goal off a rebound in the 34th to lead Brazil over Gabon 2-0 Thursday night in the opening game at D’Angondje Stadium.
The start was delayed 18 minutes because of a power failure and the poor condition of the soaked field.
Brazil will play Egypt at Doha, Qatar, on Monday in the Pharaohs’ first game under former U.S. coach Bob Bradley.
