LIVE Zamalek v Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr | The Arab Cup 2023

Zamalek coach Juan Carlos Osorio stresses the challenging nature of the upcoming Arab Cup match against Saudi club Al-Nassr on Thursday but remains confident that his team is fully prepared for the task ahead.

Osorio acknowledged the disparities between his team and Al-Nassr, noting that the Saudi club possesses significant financial strength and boasts experienced players from some of Europe’s top teams.

The Colombian coach expressed his joy at competing at this high level. “I’m delighted to be part of such games, like the previous match against Al-Shabab. Despite the loss, we delivered an outstanding performance and showcased the excellence of Egyptian football,” he stated.

The White Knights experienced their first defeat in the Arab Cup, a 1-0 loss to Saudi side Al-Shabab on Monday, which Osorio attributed to the referee.

When it comes to facing Cristiano Ronaldo, the 62-year-old coach emphasized that Zamalek would not be focusing on just one player but the entire team of eleven. He recognized Ronaldo as one of the world’s finest players, capable of altering the outcome of a match.

The White Knights’ coach expressed his thoughts on Al-Nassr acquiring forward Sadio Mané, stating that it’s a fantastic move and an advantageous opportunity for a rival to have such a talented player on their side.

For Zamalek, winning this match is crucial to secure a spot in the next round. Presently, they hold the third position in Group C, having collected three points from their impressive 4-0 victory against Tunisia’s US Monastir. Meanwhile, Al-Nassr leads the group with four points.
