Mortada Mansour, a highly controversial figure who is known for his fiery remarks and constant squabbles with opponents, was elected chairman of Cairo club Zamalek for the third time last Friday.
His arrival was met by derision from Zamalek’s football supporters on social networking websites, with many users say they fear he will land the club in hot water, recalling numerous incidents during the last decade which cut short his previous two spells as chairman.
